Vietnam Day 10 – Hue/Hoi An

Travelogue, Vietnam — By on August 18, 2007 7:14 am

Had a quick whizz around a couple of pagodas and an ancient and huge tomb site in the morning on the back of a motorbike, then jumped on the bus to Hoi An.  The journey was OK.  We checked into a great hotel called Than Binh II.  $15 a room.  Great location.  a walk down the street revealed nothing more than a bunch of similar-looking suit shops and a couple of restaurants.  At first, I saw none of the charm others had so raved about.  Disappointed, I went to Someplace Else bar/restaurant with Lindsay and had a nice bacon cheeseburger.  We were soon joined by the Israelis from our Sapa trip.  After a few drinks we were exhausted, so hit the sack.
